I've been tasked with trying to convert Quattro Pro and Lotus 1-2-3 files into XLS format so we can use the past historical data for a new research project. The file extensions include: WQ1, WR1, WB2, and WB3. I downloaded OpenOffice and Corel WordPerfect Office Suite in an attempt to open the files and save them as XLS files. The issue is that the formulas do not transfer over so I get values such as #VALUE in the cells where a formula was added. Additionally, the one file opened in Quattro Pro 7.0 but no numbers were listed in the cells; however, the spreadsheet contained formulas that called on those cells. It appears to be some type of file conversion issue as the cells should have numbers listed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to convert Quattro Pro and Lotus 1-2-3 files to XLS files without losing the data and formulas?
