I'm trying to convert a custom field of [h]:mm to a decimal format.

I've already tried to use =(HOUR(A1)+(MINUTE(A1)/60) but it will not convert it correctly. I've also attempted using an intiger but that is not working as well.

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
If you mean, say having a time of 8:15 and you want 8.25 then

=A1*24

Format cell as General or Number
