copy and cut 1500 pages in microsoft word

sorry for posting a word question here but i have a doc of 6000 pages, i'm going to try to divide into four sections. how do i write a macro that will copy and cut pages 1-1500, 1501-3000, etc

If it's just one or a few documents, it'd take longer to code & test the macro than to do the splitting manually - especially if there are any rules that need to be incorporated for replicating front pages, TOCs or whatever. Then there's the question of what to do with tables, table rows, paragraphs and fields whose content spans multiple pages ...

actually the reason why i wanted to split if up was because it took to long to find and replace words but that's only because i tried to replace every comma with a comma + a space, that took about 2 hours. i thought it would do that for every find and replace, but if you're only making 100 replacedments that doesn't take too long.
