Hello again,
I have protected my Worksheet so that two rows can not be edited or overwritten. The rest of the sheet can be typed into, you can delete rows, add rows, and delete cell data.
However, if anyone copies and pastes from anything other than Excel the cell they paste into becomes locked! For example, if you highlight text from anywhere on this web page, click into a cell and press Ctrl+V you can not delete that row or cell. You can't type into the cell either. The only option is a quick undo, if you catch it in time. If you Paste into the text box at the top, and not directly onto the cell, everything is fine though.
Are my permissions flawed? Is there any work around? The sheet I am designing for work needs to allow users to copy and paste from a content management system into the sheet... and it needs to also be "user proof" to the best of my abilities.
