Hi all,

In cell A4 I have two conditional formats. Both check cell B4 for either a "YES" or a "NO". Depending on the result found the change the background colour of the cell green for "YES" red for "NO"

I want to copy these two conditions so that all other cells in column A have the same format but they are checking the adjacent cell in column B. So A5 checks B5, A6 checks B6 etc.

I'm working with excel 2003 and I tried using format painter but all the cells are still just checking B4. Am I doing something wrong?

Please help

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
what is the formula
does it have $

in A4 you have
=B4="YES" Green
=B4="NO" Red

do you have
$B$4
if so change
to B4
and now you should be able to copy OK
