I have a workbook that is created with a different filename each time I open it. I want to copy some of the data in it to a new workbook that will have a similar name. The workbook that I want to copy the data from is called mm-dd-yyyy Emergency Log and I want to copy the data to mm-dd-yyyy Log Data. Where mm-dd-yyyy is the date of the log. There are 3 cells that need to be copied and 1 column of data that should never be more than 100 entries long. This can be done when the summary is opened or can be done when a cell in the Log is modified. I have been working on this for over a year and tried most of the solutions on the internet. Currently we have to do the copy and paste thing to get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
