Hi everyone,

I am struggling with the following challenge. I have a worksheet that is an output from another program. To this sheet I manually added 3 extra columns and data was manually entered in these 3 last columns. Nevertheless, every few months, the original output from the other program is made again. This sheet will then contain more rows (randomly, not at the end). I don't want to manually complete all data in the 3 added columns again.

Simplified it looks like this: a unique combination in both sheets in column A. So, sheet one has columns A, B, C and D filled in. Now, I want Excel to copy column B, C and D data in the rows in sheet 2 when column A is an exact match with sheet 1. It needs to leave the other rows empty in columns B, C and D.

Example:
Sheet 1:
1632148191281.png

Sheet 2:
1632148222456.png
needs to give:
1632148327604.png

Anyone a suggestion for a formula?

Thank you very much in advance,
Rhodia

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

I just found out that a simple VLookUp will do the work... At my first attempt I didn't select the right range...
