Is there some way to copy data from one column to another when the workbook is closed (or opened)? I am adding data for "this week" and "annual" to a column called "annual cum". I want to copy the data in "annual cum" to "annual" when I complete the entry for this week. I am not a sophisticated user.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Hi,

call your macro auto_close or auto_open and record it in the normal way.

hope this helps.

Quite new to excel then!

Goto Tools> Macro > Record new macro

This will record all your keystrokes. A "Stop Recording" toolbar will appear with a stop button and Relative Reference button. Click on the stop button when you are finished.

If you want me to have a look, email the workbook at *email removed*
