copy date from 1800 excel files

I have a corrupted summary excel sheet with details of thousands of other files. Somehow the dates of the 1866 entries from April 1st (!!!!!) 2019 to April 1st 2020 have changed to consecutive dates, even though several files are created each day. Is there any way I can get a macro to open up each WB from a list, copy the date in G8, paste it in column A and loop until finished? The name of the workbook would be in column D, there is also a hyperlink to the files in column H.

I would like to open the workbooks using the path plus numbers in column D & xlsm. Then copy what's in cell G8 of the tab "Home" and paste it into this workbook in column A of the same row.

ranman256 please don't continue working on this. I have found that the date is not always in the same cell. thanks anyway.
