I think this may have been covered, but I can't get the formula to work properly so am looking for some tips... I am trying to copy formulas and values on every fourth line.

The source data has 4 lines which are then averaged over the 4 - as a result and the way the sheet has been setup the average data is shown every 4th line in the source.

I now need this data to be shown row by row on another sheet for some more calculations:

e.g.
15-Jan 17.9% 33.7% 23.4% 35.6% 180.1 237.3
15-Jan
15-Jan
15-Jan
16-Jan 19.7% 28.0% 25.2% 34.5% 193.0 203.2
16-Jan
16-Jan
16-Jan

and I want the following to be shown on the next sheet:
15/01/2004 17.9% 33.7% 23.4% 35.6% 180.1 237.3
16/01/2004 19.7% 28.0% 25.2% 34.5% 193.0 203.2

Hopefully this makes sense... I have tried Indirect and Index formulae, but
am probably too thick to use them.
Thanks

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
something like?

* assumes Sheet1 holds data - formula below entered in A1

=IF(ROW(A1)=1,Sheet1!A1,INDIRECT("Sheet1!A"&((ROW(A1)-ROW($A$1))*4)+1))

just returns Column A - and can be copied down vertically.

Should get you started.
