Copy Formatting to another sheet

I have a document where I want to copy the cell color from 12 individual cells on one sheet to 12 other cells on the same sheet, in addition to 12 cells on a separate sheet. One set of 12 cells needs to be the master cells or the original ones that get referenced to copy to other cells.

Is there VBA code to do such a thing? Or is it easier to edit existing code to allow formatting of those cells on both sheets. I'm rough on my VBA so I'm not sure what the best option is.
Is there a way to attach my file so all the code can be viewed for best reference?

1) Start recording
2) Select the 12 cells you want to copy
3) Paste on the other 12 cells on the same sheet
4) Paste on the 12 cells on separate sheet
5) Stop recording
6) Learn and amend from the generated VBA code. If you still struggle, you can post the recorded code here for others to review.

Well, actually i am having a problem where i have some code in that unprotects the sheet when other errors occur, then re-protects the sheet afterwards. Every time while I’m trying to record the macro after pausing the VBA to be able to copy and paste while recording, the sheet re-locks as the VBA is no longer paused. How can i get around that to be able to repeatedly record the macro of me copy and pasting the formatting from cell to cell?

This is the code I believe needs to be temporarily disabled.

Since you already know the password, simply unprotect the sheet and comment off the entire code, and do your macro recording as per normal.
Just add an apostrophe to comment the code

Or if it's easier, cut the whole piece of code into a notepad first, transfer it back when you're done with the recording.

Awesome! That worked. Now how do I learn and amend so that it can automatically update when the main cells are changed?
Or do I need to add that to a macro button?

This would then go into your existing Worksheet_Change event code, which would require some more knowledge than just recording the macro.

If you're okay with this approach, you can just create a Shape, make it look like a button and just Right-click and assign the macro to it.

If you want it the automatic way, then post your recorded code and I can help amend it to work in the change event. Then, you can learn how it is being done.
Otherwise, you can do your own research on coding the Worksheet_Change event.

Ok here's the code that I have. First is the protect and unprotect (same as in a previous post) code that is preventing the formatting of the original cells. I would like to be able to allow formatting on the following cells so the colors can be changed. Cells C9:C32 need to able to be formatted.

So firstly, your recorded macro is reallly long, but that's not really your fault since recorded macros usually end up like this. I'll leave that to you if you want to clean it up a little, or not.

Here's an added If-block for the change event code, triggering the macro when you make any changes within C9:C58 (I assumed)

Assuming I just needed to copy both sets of code into the sheet, I dont think it is working properly.
It's not letting me format the cells I want to be formattable (C9:C32).
Here's what I have in the code now. If its not correct, I might have messed something up.
I did change the range of what I want copied to other cells from C9:C58 to C9:C32. I would like C9:C32 copied to C35:C58.
Then the rest of the recorded code takes C9:C10 and copies it to D2 on the Stage Times tab, where I then needed to merge and center and then put a border around.
I repeated that 11 more times for C11:C12 and so on.
but I'm not getting the ability to change the cell formatting to work on the original C9:C32 cells.
Any ideas?
