Hello all! I have searched here and elsewhere, and can not find a solution to what seems like a very simple problem. I have a formula in a cell, and need to drag it across the row and have it increment. The formula is =A1, and when I drag it across the row I want it to show =A2, =A3, =A4, etc. When I try to just drag it, I get =B1, =C1, =D1, etc. Anyone have a simple solution to this? Or a tool that can do this (ASAP, ExTools, etc.)? Thanks for any suggestions!

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney

You have to make the A absoluete: =$A1
But it will still only be A1 because it is relative to the first row. You would have to drag it down the column to get it to be =A1, =A2, etc.

JLG, thanks for that suggestion! I actually tried that and it did not work. Interestingly enough, what that does is copies =$A1 to each cell to the right. Neat to know it does that, but not quite what I was trying to accomplish. Thanks!
