Hi, thanks in advance for any help given on this :biggrin:

Anyway, I need a macro to copy data from one cell to another on the same sheet but I don't know how to stop it copying the formula that is in the cell. All I want copied is the data itself.

Thanks a lot

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Maybe this will help - It copies whatever is on cell "A1" - and just pastes the value into cell "A2"

Sub CopyValue
Range("A1").Select
Selection.Copy
Range("A2").Select
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks:=False, Transpose:=False
Application.CutCopyMode = False
End Sub

hope it helps............
