I have a spreadsheet of data dumped out from a PDM system that I'm using to track and clean up some data. However, the PDM data is changing so I need to update my tracking file.
Say my tracking sheet with the original data output data has 100 rows, and I've added columns to track status of my clean up project. A week later, I run another output of data and it has 110 rows. Some of the original 100 have been cleaned up and don't show in the new data, which is good, but more items are now showing up. Many of the rows are the same - but without the extra columns I added, of course.
So I want to get the new rows from the new data dump into my tracking sheet without disturbing any of the rows that are already in the tracking sheet. Each row does have a unique number to use as a key field. It's like I want to take the new output data, copy it, and then paste it into the tracking sheet, skipping rows where the value in column A matches a value in column A of the tracking sheet.
There must be an easy way to do this?
