Hi Everyone

I want to write down a code which activates a specific .xls file, copies some cells and pastes them to the current excel sheet that I have. How can I do that??? Please help. I tried this

Workbooks("DesignTable1").Worksheets("Sheet1").Activate

and the result is a MsgBox "Script out of range"

What do I do wrong???

:(:(:(:(

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hi Andrew and thanks for the quick reply

No,That doesn't work...The file I want to Open is a simple xls named DesigneTable1.

I use Excel 2007...

To open the workbook use the Open method. If you record a macro while doing it manually you will get the necessary code.

It worked
the answer to the problem is

Workbooks.Open Filename:="DesignTable1.xlsx"

See I'm a mechanical Engineer and my knowledge on VB is quite limited... :mad::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
