I'm copy/pasting (from excel to excel) a long formula with some nested if/or kind of stuff, but nothing particularly challenging, but the pasted formula isn't recognizing the cell reference (say A2). I've tried copy/pasting formatting, but that doesn't help. The only thing that has worked is manually retyping all of the references, but that doesn't always work. What am I missing???

In what way is the copy/paste not working?
if I copy/paste and then hit F2 - which normally, this would highlight and put the cell reference in color - it does neither of those things. which, in my belief means it's not recognizing the referenced cells as cells.

I just did it with another formula =IF(AT2>0,3) - this works as I described above

Does the formula calculate correctly after you have copy/pasted it?

That probably means that one of the cells the formula is looking at contains #N/A

but when I do this (I just did it with another formula =IF(AT2>0,3) - this works as I described above) - it works when I hit F2 and there's a N/A in the cell

That is totally irrelevant.
The only thing that matters is does the formula work? Forget about whether it shows the cells or not.
