I just made my 1st "IF" formula. I am having trouble copying it the way I want it to. When I copy it changes things in it I don't want changed in that way.

Here is my formula:
=IF(B1>0,IF(B1<H2,"LOW",IF(B1<H6,"MEDSCH",IF(B1<H10"MED",IF(B1<H14,"HIGH","MAX")))),"")

Here is what I GET when I copy it:
=IF(B2>0,IF(B2<H3,"LOW",IF(B2<H7,"MEDSCH",IF(B2<H11,"MED",IF(B2<H15,"HIGH","MAX")))),"")

Here is what I WANT:
=IF(B2>0,IF(B2<I2,"LOW",IF(B2<I6,"MEDSCH",IF(B2<I10,"MED,IF(B2<I14,"HIGH","MAX")))),"")

I want the b column to shift down rows. I want the H column to shift right to next column.

Can this be done?

I don't want to write a different formula 365 times.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Have to say that I can't see a difference between what you want and what your getting re:B2...

Use Help and look up mixed references, using a "$" sign enables you to hold one or both values in the address constant...i.e. =$A$1

if you copied this into other cells all cells will =$a$1

thanks,

Well my formula didn't show up the way I typed it into the message body. I will look into the $ thing.

Thanks
