Copying Formula from one spreadsheet to another

How do you copy a formula, specifically an =IF statement, from one spreadsheet to another ?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Select the cell, hit F2, highlight the formula, copy, switch to the new sheet, select the cell and paste.

If you want to do ranges, select the range, Find and Replace the "=" with a "#" sign, then copy and paste to the new workbook, in the new workbook select the range, find and replace the "#" with an "=" ...
