Copying layout

I used to click twice on copy lay-out and excel kept on copying the lay-out.
Now it's not possible any more. Is it a setting i have to change.

Please explain what you mean by "copy lay-out"? There is no button named that.

Ah, I know what you mean, it's called Format Painter in English.

What version of Excel do you have?

Double-click your mouse quickly or adjust your mouse double-clicking speed in mouse settings.

It works for me in Excel 2003
