Copying many columns, am I able to paste each column twice using one command?

I need to copy many columns. And when I paste, ideally, I'd like to use one command to paste them but also duplicating each one. Like this:

I will have columns with data in words like --
word | car | boat | bike |

And ideally, after I paste, I would like to get --
word | word | car | car | boat | boat | bike | bike

Is this possible, easily? Thank you!!

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.

Good morning! I'm just checking in on this issue.... Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks again in advance, fingers crossed !! :)

Hmm, crystal clear....

I'll be copying all columns by dragging across the top of the data, so all columns are selected, then ctrl + C, to copy them all.

Then pasting all by putting my cursor in a cell where I can begin that data, using ctrl + V.

Ideally, when I ctrl + V, I'd like not only the columns I've copied to appear, which contain data eg:

data | data (words) | data |

to paste with an extra column of that data next to each original column of data, eg:

data | data | data (words) | data (words) | data | data |

Just picture those words above, each in a cell. That's an example. Hopefully that's clear?

Thanks!

Via Excel features Copy / Paste obviously it's column by column …
It could be achieved via a VBA procedure.

In your post you say:
I need to copy many columns

Many is not specific

You may need to say column A to Columns H

So are you saying you want to see two columns of the same data next to each other

So column (A) and Column(B) would be the same
And Column(B) and Column(C) would be the Same and Column (C) and Columns(D) would be the same and on and on to Column(H)

Hoping to clarify my initial request, I will have sets of words as my data in each of columns B - AH.

I'd like to copy each row, and when I paste it, for that action to double each row pasted. Like this:

Example data of row to copy:
A | B | C | D |
A | cat | rat | bar |

Example of my desired outcome, if possible. I do not know how to use VBAs here, but have been told that's the path I should follow.
A | B | C | D |
A | cat | cat | rat | rat | bar | bar |

Because copy/pasting the data in every other column may introduce errors, I'm seeking a one-off operation to do this if possible.

Thanks!

I asked:

And Column(B) and Column(C) would be the Same and Column (C) and Columns(D) would be the same and on and on to Column(H)
You clicked the like button
But you never answered the question.

The above was a question.
Just clicking the like button is not a answer.
So do you want a duplicate of every column?

Hi there,

Sorry, yes, that's exactly what I need.

I apologize, was just hoping to be as clear as possible. Thank you for your direct query!
