I just learned to use the Subtotal button from the Data tab in Excel 2007. I'm using a small sample set to get a feel for it. When I complete the subtotal and collapse all the groups, I have just the data I want. I highlight it and copy it, but when I paste it, I get all the data from the collapsed lines as well as the subotal lines themselves.

How can I copy the collapsed info and paste only what is showing when collapsed so the detail from those visible rows is all that is pasted?

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Select the data, press Alt+; and thn copy and paste.
