Copying selective data from one sheet to other sheets

I have a sheet of data that contains 6000 rows. I want every other row copied to sheet 2. Every third row copied to sheet 3, and so on for 48 sheets. I would like it to be dynamic so that if I update the data in sheet 1, all other sheets update in unison. Is there any way to do this? I attempted to go to sheet 2 and type "='Sheet1'!A1" in the first cell and "='Sheet1'!A2" in the second cell and then just copy this down the column in sheet 2. For some reason this isnt working for me. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Eian

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.

sounds quite inefficient (48 sheets that is). why not just filter out the data as you need it. see below vba example:

Code:
Sub MyFilter()

Dim x As Integer
Dim myInput As Integer
Dim LastRow As Long

myInput = InputBox("How many rows to skip?")

LastRow = Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row

x = 1

For i = 1 To LastRow Step myInput

    Sheets("Sheet1").Rows(i).Copy Destination:=Sheets("Sheet2").Rows(x)

    x = x + 1
Next

End Sub

Thanks for the info. Yea, it appears to be inefficient, but this is the way it must be due to the nature of my project, unfortunately.
