I'm curious if it is possible to copy data from a worksheet to another using VBA.
Example.
I am trying to pull all data in Workbook "OP-AUX Database Test(MacroEnabled)" sheet19 to workbook "SN Log" sheet1.
With the database I have made (with massive help from this community) the macro I have auto logs particular columns on sheets2-17 to sheet19 while removing duplicates. Would there be a way to do this same task but move it to another workbook so there's less clutter and easier logging while also removing duplicates like the following VBA code? I'm currently using the following VBA to capture required information to Sheet19 on the "OP-AUX Database Test(MacroEnabled)" workbook.
VBA Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
 Sheet2.Range("K2", Sheet2.Range("K" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).Copy
 Sheet19.Range("A1048576").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).PasteSpecial xlPasteValues
 Sheet19.Range("A2", Sheet19.Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).RemoveDuplicates 1
 Sheet19.Range("B2:B" & Sheet19.Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row).Value = Date
 Sheet2.Range("L2", Sheet2.Range("L" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).Copy
 Sheet19.Range("c1048576").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).PasteSpecial xlPasteValues
 Sheet19.Range("c2", Sheet19.Range("c" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).RemoveDuplicates 1
 Sheet19.Range("D2:D" & Sheet19.Range("C" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row).Value = Date

 Sheet3.Range("B2", Sheet3.Range("B" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).Copy
 Sheet19.Range("e1048576").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).PasteSpecial xlPasteValues
 Sheet19.Range("e2", Sheet19.Range("e" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).RemoveDuplicates 1
 Sheet19.Range("F2:F" & Sheet19.Range("E" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row).Value = Date

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Just a seemingly silly question ... you are not starting the execution of the code from the 'CopyPasteEtc' subroutine right? If so, that is a problem. You should be starting the code execution from the second subroutine ie. 'Private Sub Worksheet_Activate_V2'

I am not certain and I am sorry for being so ignorant on this. Could you screen shot what the code is supposed to look like for me? I am certain that if it is working for you that I must have them set up wrong.

When you get to the Debug window (the screen with the yellow bar), click the reset button to clear the yellow bar. This is very important to hit that reset icon to remove that yellow bar, otherwise when you try to execute the script, it will still pop up the same yellow bar (error). Then scroll to the very bottom of all the code. Just above the last line (End Sub) insert the following line of code:

VBA Code:
MsgBox "Click the 'OK' button and then check the Sheet 19 results ie 'LOG' results."

After that line is inserted, scroll up to the top executable line in the 'Worksheet_Activate_V2()' Sub, The line that says 'SheetToCopyTo = "LOG" Left click the beginning of that line to place the cursor there. Then hit the F5 key or click the green arrow icon. That will run the code.

The picture I attached points out the icons and the line to start execution from.

So I did as you said. It didn't copy to sheet19. When stepping through it'll make it to
VBA Code:
SheetToCopyFrom = "Sheet2": ColumnToCopyFrom = "K": ColumnToCopyTo = "A": DateColumn = "B"  '-- Sheet2 to Sheet19 Pt. 1
Then the first
Code:
    Call CopyPasteEtc
After which it jumps back up to
Code:
Sub CopyPasteEtc()
Once it reaches
Code:
    Sheets(SheetToCopyFrom).Range(ColumnToCopyFrom & "2", Sheets(SheetToCopyFrom).Range(ColumnToCopyFrom & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).Copy  ' Copy Column Data to Clipboard
it goes back to the error debug. Am I missing something on the other pages? I'm just not sure what's going on. I'm sorry you've been spending so much time helping me with this. Is there any way you could show me the workbook you've been playing with as to see if I maybe have something in an area or am missing something? I know, as with most things, that I am overlooking something simple and basic.

OK I was messing around and figured out what the deal is (which still seems odd to me.) I was using a macro enabled .xlsm file to try to work this whole time. Which obviously failed for some reason. So on a whim I saved one as .xlsx instead (Non-macro enabled.) This allowed me to actually make it work when testing. It did indeed work very well and much faster than my old code. It seems kind of odd to me that is wouldn't work with an macro enabled save but it is what it is. Now that that is over with how would I go about making it all save to another workbook and how do I activate it?

I spoke too soon. I have determined the following.
-It works when I place it in xlsx but when I save it's no longer there (Obviously because it's not macro enabled so not the right format)
*It indeed works very fast which is great*
*Auto date and logging as intended*
-When saved to xlsm it no longer functions and gives the errors we've been going through. (Which is odd to me and beyond my understanding)
*It should work when macro enabled but for some reason doesn't*

I've been searching and can't find any reason it shouldn't work when saved as macro enabled.
Also figuring out how to execute it would be great once we figure out why it's not working while saved as enabled. I tried linking it to a button on the xlsx workbook but it only executed the last line of the code which was
VBA Code:
    SheetToCopyFrom = "AUX SLRU+DMCU": ColumnToCopyFrom = "C": ColumnToCopyTo = "BC": DateColumn = "BD"   '-- AUX SLRU+DMCU Sheet17 to Sheet19 Pt. 2
    Call CopyPasteEtc

I have no idea why it errors when you save it to xlsm. It sounds like you have macros enabled since it is erroring in the macro. Do you have protected sheets?

I would suggest you open a new thread detailing your issues of not being able to run the macro successfully after you save it.

Yes, several protected sheets. The only one that is not protected is the one that the information gets pasted to.
