I'm trying to copy a date from a single cell to 2 merged cell. The cells are merged because of the nature of the form. I can't run the date across the cell and I get an XX because the cell is not wide enough. I can't copy and special paste into merged cells with a macro.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

I don't see why you can't copy the date directly over, but could you just use a simple formula? Take the merged cell and inout =(cell addres of date). Example: if A1 & B1 are merged and the date is in C1, you could use this formula in the merged cells: =C1. That will transfer the date over.

Hope this helps.
