I have a data in rows 1-3 with numbers in Column C. I have a subtotal in C4 that reads SUBTOTAL(9,C1:C3).

Once I add 5 new rows of data, I would like to be able to copy the formula in C4 to C10.....when you just copy, it becomes SUBTOTAL(9,C7:C9)....I would like it to be either SUBTOTAL(9,C5:C9) or SUBTOTAL(9,C4:C9)....either one would work. Right now, I have to edit the row numbers in the formula manually. I'm sure one of you Excel gods will have a simpler method!!!

Thanks!

postscript: OK, I've figured it out this far:
=subtotal(9,R[-1]C:......then some sort of activecell.xlUp function?

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
