Copying values to next blank cells in a column

Any help on this would be much appreciated...

I have two input cells (G6 and G9) that I require the last 4 characters of G6 and the last 10 characters of G9 to be copied into the next available cells in columns A and B respectively. The values copied into columns A and B must be unique and so there must be a check that the same value has not been entered twice in a column (user is prevented from entering the same value twice).

After the copy the values in G6 and G9 will change and the process repeated.

I look forward to seeing how to do this!
