Hello board members,

After performing work with a client I want to perform some sort of "post-work" cost calculation to determine if my prices are right.

If I have a list of products in tab 1 with purchase price & sales price, how can I address those in tab 2 (using a drop down)

I have "materials" , "hours" and "transport"

Thank you for a small sample

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
As an example, would you have something like this in sheet1?

Product
Purchase PriceSales Price
AAA$$$$$$
BBB$$$$$$

<tbody>
</tbody>

Could you flesh out what sheet2 looks like and what you want to go there?

Hello,

in tab 1 I keep track of who the work was for and the hours spent
in tab 2 I keep track of materials their purchase price , sales price and calculate the margin
in tab 3 I add other costs (such as transportation) and calculate final profit/loss

Ideally I would be able to create a "work order" where I can have line items (hours, materials, other) and have a dropdown for at least the materials because that is an extensive list kept in tab 2

Thank you for a small example
