Above I have a variable cost cell, the selling price is currently manually inputted, through selecting a number so that the markup = 20%, which inturn gives me a GP percent and value.

Would be great to have a table and formular so that a number could be choosen and i equal to 20% automatically inputted :)

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Do you mean something like this? Formula in B2 is copied down.

If not please try to give more detail about what you have and what you want to achieve.

Hi Peter

A B C
1 Cost $ value
2 GP +C2/C1 +C3-C1
3 Sell price +C2/C3 need a formular

Suspect the formular needs to look up a range of value i.e.

100
110
120
130
etc

suspect formular needs to lookup, if first cell is incorrect move on to 2nd cell and so on until = maybe a drop down % i.e. choosen value.

I keep getting circular formulars1

I could e-mail you the shpreed sheet or talk on skype.

many thanks

Mickey

Sorry, I don't understand what you are wanting.

In relation to email/skype, that would defeat the purpose of this being a public forum and would breach #7 of the Forum Rules.
