could derived fields be reused inside query?

I have a query that uses fields from several tables. I then derive 2 fields: Units and Revenues inside the query: Units: [Field1]*[Field2], and
Revenues: [Units]*[Price]. In this last field derivation, Price field comes from the table, and Unit is internally derived field. Everytime I click on the query a parameter form pops up for the Units. If I just click OK to go to the datasheet view, all the derived fields are correct. But WHY IS THIS field keeps popping up everytime I open the query???

Can the derived field inside the query be reused to derive another field?

The short answer is no -- not in the same query (or form or report).
If, for example, [Units] is [Cartons]*[Qty per Carton], then EVERY place you want to use [Units] in this query, you have to re-use the derivation.
If you base another query on this one, it's another matter. Then [Units] can be used as another field.
