count cells which are less then 18

Hi,
can anyone please help me to write a formula to following request:

cell A1 contains any number higher, lower or even to 18
cell B1 contains 4
Cell C1 contains 2
Cell D1 = B1*C1 (results in 8)

i need to calculate cell D1 only under condition if A1 is >18

How would the formula be written?
