Count everything in this column that does not equal "D"

Hey all,

I'm trying to get a formula that counts everything in a column that equals A, B, C but to skip over the ones that equals D.

How would I got about this?

Hi sheetspread, much better formula.....but I was concerned the OP may have had "other" letters in the list as well.
