Evening All

I appear to have brain freeze and hope you can help.

I'm looking for a formula that will compare daily sales week to date in a cumulative manner vs last year.

i.e. as I input sales data on a daily basis it will count how many cells have data in - go to the sales for last year and work out the sum for the same number of days.

This Year
Mon Tues Weds Thurs Fri Sat Sun
£25 £25 £25

Last Year
Mon Tues Weds Thurs Fri Sat Sun
£30 £30 £30 £30 £30 £30 £30

So the formula will count 3 days for this year and return £90 as the result.

The plan then will be to work out the comp.

Thanks in advance. :-)

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I did this in a very small scale test, but something like this offset formula should work. For my test data, this year's data was in A2:G2. Last Year's Data was in A6:G6

Code:
=SUM(OFFSET(A6, 0, 0, 1, COUNTA(A2:G2)))
