I need your help guys

Ex:

A
1 SP01
2 SP05
3 SP09
4 VMP103
5 SP01
6 CDM03
7 AVI02


So, i want to write in another cell how many machines is working
The response must be 6, not 7. Because SP01 is the same machine and i just want to count 1 time that machine.

If anyone can help me, please help me

=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF(A1:A7<>"",MATCH("~"&A1:A7,A1:A7&"",0)),ROW(A1:A7)-ROW(A1)+1),1))
