You have to transform Sheet1 in a real database and replace the TODAY() function with a hand-written date. Keep all the records for a whole month, let's say, then you'll be able to use a COUNTIF() in the second worksheet (for B2, assuming headers in first row):

=COUNTIF([Current Date],A2)

where [Current Date] is the range you're inspecting for the appearance of the date written in A2.

But on next day I change the date on sheet 1 and enter new data in sheet 1 but the sum for yesterday it need to stay on yesterdays date and start with todays date now the calculation need to be for today.<o></o>

You MUST NOT CHANGE the date in Sheet1 - you have to ADD ROWS for new dates.

If too many records in Sheet1 look confusing, use filters to display only the records for the current date.

How do you expect to do some calculation on volatile data?

There is no other alternative, but using a macro at the end of the day to append a row with the date and add the count to the table in Sheet2. Then you may change the data in Sheet1 the next day, but using only formulas to do the job will not work if you want to keep that procedure (changing the data everyday)
