hi,

i have a sheet with the following data

Col b: system name
col c: priority number

col f: system list
col h: priority counter

what i need to do is output into COL H, the number of times the value in COL F is found in COL B with the priority number is COL C set to 1

That sounds like a SUMPRODUCT to me:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(B2:B10=F2),--(C2:C10=1))
