Count question with two conditions - help

Hi, I have a table with columns A, B, C, D.
Column A has a person's last name;
Column B has the date the person in Column A was assigned a particular case;
Column C has the date the person in Column A completed a particular case;
Column D just has the case number;


How do I count the number of cases "still open," blanks in column C, of a particular person in Column A.

=SUMPRODUCT((A2:A30=E1)*(LEN(B2:B30)>0)*(LEN(C2:C30)=0))

where E1 houses a name of interest.
