anybody have a formula to count the rows used by a pivot table? i have seen vba methods but not a formula yet?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
In VBA i think you can use the TableRange2 property. Something like

Msgbox ActiveSheet.PivotTables(1).TableRange2.Rows.Count

Adjust the Sheet name and the PVT index to suit

Thanks Marcelo. i am really keen to get a formula solution and not vba in this instance. How is Rio today? have you got a spectacular view from your desk (like all the post cards) or is it the back of another building like where I am?

Hi ajm,

I live a walking distance to the beach (3 blocks), but unfortunately from my desk now i can view only the back of another building like you

Where do you live in Australia? Many years ago i have been in Australia - Perth many days playing a Bridge championship and only one night in Sidney

I see you live in Brisbane...

Cheers
