Okay, as im looking thorught the forum i'm finding similar situations but they don't seem to work in my case. Anyways I have rows representing a single record. I have a date in one of the columns and I would like to able to find out how many records fall in between two dates.

Thanks for any help

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
How about:

=sumif(range,">=date1"))-sumif(range(">date2"))

range = the range of cells you want to sum.
date1 = the earliest date (or a cell reference for that date).
date2 = the latest date (or a cell reference for that date).

If you post an example, I can give you the specific formula.

The following example counts the number of occurances of dates above Jan 03 , 2005 and below Jan 09 , 2005

=COUNTIF(A:A,">1/03/2005")-COUNTIF(A:A,">1/08/2005")
