How do I create a formula to count the total results from each of the following cells:
E24,42,60,78,96,114,132,150,168,186,204,222,240,258,276,294,312,330,348,366,384,402,420,438

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Try:

=SUMPRODUCT((MOD(ROW(E24:E438)-ROW(E24),18)=0)*(E24:E438)) to sum the entries...

if you want to actually count how many have entries, then try:

=COUNT(IF((MOD(ROW(E24:E438)-ROW(E24),18)=0)*(E24:E438),1)) confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER

I think the first formula will work, however, I have the cell format for my cells set to 0;-0;;@ so, if the result is 0 for all enteries, i need for my result to be blank. It now returns a #value result for that condition. So do I update the cell format where I place the formula or update the formula

All values in the range E24:E438 must be numeric or you will get a #Value error...

Try: =SUM(IF(ISNUMBER(E24:E438),IF((MOD(ROW(E24:E438)-ROW(E24),18)=0)*(E24:E438),E24:E438)))

confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter not just Enter.
