Count total from a cell in multiple sheets & files

How do I create a formula that will count the total from G1022 in each sheet of the Trending3a and Trending3b file and place the result in D4, of the "Info" sheet in the Backend file.

This should get you started.

Adjust the below formula according to 1 thru 4:

1. adjust the ????? with the correct foldername(s)
2. adjust the filename with the correct file name
3. adjust the Sheet1 name withe the correct sheet name
4. adjust the cell address $A$1 with the correct address from filename

='C:\Documents and Settings\?????\My Documents\?????\[filename.xls]Sheet1'!$A$1

Copy the adjusted formula into cell D4, in the 'Info' sheet, in the Backend file:
='C:\Documents and Settings\?????\My Documents\?????\[Trending3a.xls]Sheet1'!$G$1022


I am using Windows XP Professional SP2, and Excel 2003 SP2.

Emergency Help Please, someone!
I entered the following formula:
='C:\Documents and Settings\?????\My Documents\?????\[Trending3a.xls]Sheet1'!$G$1022
then got Mircosoft Excel error report, I selected ok to send report, then it opened excel and started repairing several important files, while deleting some original settings. I deleted the recovery and repaired files, checked for my original files on my hard drive directory and they are apparently deleted. How do I recovery these files. Isnt there a way to do a total recovery of files through a system backup. I am running win xp 2002

I did not have the opportunity to complete the instructions, I just copied the original formula into the backend file, to update it according to the instructions given and then everything I explained in the previous post occurred!
Is there anyone that can explain how to do a system recovery of files?
