I am using this to count the number of unique dates in a named range ForDates and it works fine to give me that count

=COUNT(IF(FREQUENCY(ForDates,ForDates),1))

I need a formula that will count the unique dates in ForDates for a given year, like the year that is in cell G20, how could I do that?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
How about:

Excel Formula:
=SUM(--(FREQUENCY(IF(YEAR(ForDates)=G20,ForDates),ForDates)>0))
