Well, you would think I would have no problem adjusting this simple formula to count unique entries in a column BUT exclude counting any row with the word YTD in it.

Here is my original formula :
Excel Formula:
=COUNTA(UNIQUE(A7:A637))

Here is how I adjusted my original formula to excluding counting any row with the word "YTD" in the text string:
Excel Formula:
=COUNTA(UNIQUE(A7:A637,"<>*YTD"))
I get a ONE as a result.

Thank you for your help in advance,
Juicy

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Try:

Excel Formula:
=ROWS(UNIQUE(FILTER(A7:A637,ISERROR(SEARCH("YTD",A7:A637)))))
