COUNTA: when using auto filter option

After I auto filter a spreadsheet that shows the remaining information, how do I count those cells that are displayed? I've always used COUNTA, but it will count all the cells including the ones that are not shown after the filter.

Look at the SUBTOTAL function...

=SUBTOTAL(3,A:A)
