Hi Guys,

i have a range of dates(holidays/impt dates) as per below.
I want to have a countdown statement, something like,

"5 more days to Event 4"

I do know how to do that 1 statement countdown, but i dont know how to instruct excel to ignore those expired dates.
For example today's date is 30th November, i want excel to carry on to the next future event(9th Dec) based on this range of dates and ignore the expired dates.

DateDayEvents
1 Jan 16FriEvent 1
7 Feb 16SunEvent 2
09 Dec 16FriEvent 3
12 Dec 16MonEvent 4

The reason for requesting this is because i dont want to refer to my calender whenever i am doing my planning at excel spreadsheet.
It can also constantly remind me of any impt upcoming dates as most of the time im looking at my main spreadsheet for planning purposes.

Thanks!

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
