Hi Guys,

On sheet1:
Between F7:F370 is a list of dates
Between I7:DL370 is data accordingly which has certain details like 'working' 'day off' etc.

On sheet 2 I have a small chart which I'm after being a number count accordingly

EG: in cell D31, I would to count all cells with the word 'working' across a the column between I:DL from sheet1, which line up according to the date displayed on C31

I can't quite get the formula to work:
=COUNTIF(vlookup(C31,Sheet1!F7:DL370)"Working")

Any help appreciated please?

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
My initial thought is to create a pivot table on the sheet1 data. In this pivot table, you can sort, filter, and count as much as you'd like.
