I have been trying to do a countif statement where the variable is the colour of a cell. Positive that this can be done, but am having no luck getting there. Any thoughts?

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
If the cells are coloured with Conditional Formatting then you should be able to do a count using the same criteria as CF, otherwise I think you need VBA

Have you seen Chip Pearson's code for doing this kind of thing? If you tried it, why doesn't it work for you?

Hope that helps!
