Hello, I am still learning how to make excel formulas and need some help.
City
Albany Company
Albany Franchise
Albany Franchise
Albuquerque Company
Albuquerque Franchise
Alexandria Franchise
Alexandria Company
Amarillo Franchise
Amarillo Company
Anchorage Company
Atlanta Franchise
Atlanta Company
Augusta Company
Augusta Company
Austin Franchise
Austin Franchise
Austin Company
Bakersfield Company
Baton Rouge Franchise
Baton Rouge Company
On the first column, I need a formula to say,if it matches a city, give me a count of the company or franchise next to that city. For example, Albany, 1 Company, 2 Franchise. The formulas I use in general is: ="Company Count: "&COUNTIF(D3:D1254,"Company") and ="Franchise Count: "&COUNTIF(D3:D1254,"<>Company"). Cities are listed in column A, the company and franchise are listed in column B. I know there has to be an easier way to count this but I don't know it. Thank you.
