Hi,

I am having trouble with this particular formula, I am not too sure, as it does work on another area of my spreadsheet.

Criteria,

A B
1 Health Dental
2
3 F S
4 SpEx SpEx
5 S S
6 F F
7 F F

=countif(A3:A7,"f")
=countif(A3:A7,"s")

because i have the SpEx in there it is not working. If I take it out the formula works just fine? Is there a way around this?

formula is, countif(

What exactly is wrong? Are you not getting the results you expect? From this example I would expect 3 for the first formula and 1 for the 2nd?

I am going to lock this one, and leave the other one open since that one has more responses and more recent responses.

You have the ability to delete any accidental duplicates you make in the first 5-10 minutes after posting as long as no one has replied. If it is past that time, you can click on the Report button and ask a Moderator to take care of it.
