Countif Multiple criteria, multiple columns

Good day.
I am having a bit of difficulty writing an array formula to count the number of instances within two columns meeting two criteria.
In the example below I have columns with Months, Names, and Units. The Units are arbitrary numbers in this example and these columns are only present to reflect my actual spreadsheet.
I am looking to count the number of times a name appears on a given Month. The table to the left is the starting point and the table to the right is the desired outcome.

Excel Formula:
=countifs($a:$a,$g2,$b:$b,h$1)+countifs($a:$a,$g2,$d:$d,h$1)
