Good day.
I am having a bit of difficulty writing an array formula to count the number of instances within two columns meeting two criteria.
In the example below I have columns with Months, Names, and Units. The Units are arbitrary numbers in this example and these columns are only present to reflect my actual spreadsheet.
I am looking to count the number of times a name appears on a given Month. The table to the left is the starting point and the table to the right is the desired outcome.

Thank you for any help

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
How about
Excel Formula:
=countifs($a:$a,$g2,$b:$b,h$1)+countifs($a:$a,$g2,$d:$d,h$1)
